A city, told by the people in it
The CommUNITY Growth Summit was set up to have hard conversations about growth and culture in Milwaukee. Which meant the trailer couldn't be a promotional piece with a date at the end. If the event is going to be honest, the trailer has to be honest first or nobody serious shows up. So we built it around the people. Interviews with some of the most influential voices in the city, talking about Milwaukee as it actually is rather than as a brochure would have it. Aerial cinematography carries the city itself between them. Milwaukee from above is a genuinely striking place, and putting the geography in frame gives the conversations somewhere to live instead of floating as talking heads.

A trailer with something to say
The summit got a trailer that signals the seriousness of the conversation rather than just announcing an event, which is what draws the attendees an event like this actually needs. Leading with city voices made it a piece about Milwaukee before it was a piece about a date on a calendar.
