Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
STRLGHT LLC ("STRLGHT," "we," "us," or "our") operates strlght.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
Questions about anything here: info@strlght.com
1. Who we are
STRLGHT LLC is a video production and web development studio based in Madison, Wisconsin, operating since 2016.

2. What we collect
Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message field.
Video and audio, if you choose to record. Our contact page uses VideoAsk, a third-party service. If you record a response, VideoAsk captures video and audio of you and stores it on their systems under their own privacy policy. If you would rather not be recorded, use the standard contact form instead.
Session recordings. We use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with our site, including mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and which pages are viewed. These recordings help us find places where the site is confusing or broken. Clarity masks text input fields by default, so what you type into a form is not captured in the replay.
Marketing and attribution data. When you submit our form, we also capture technical information about how you found us:
- Campaign parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content
- Advertising click identifiers: gclid (Google), fbclid (Meta), msclkid (Microsoft)
- The page you landed on, the page you submitted from, the site that referred you, and the page title
- First-touch attribution data, meaning the campaign details from your first visit, not only your most recent one
Plainly: we can usually tell which ad or search brought you here, and we keep that alongside your inquiry.
Standard technical data. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider and analytics tools record IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and general location. We use this in aggregate to understand traffic, not to identify individuals.
3. Why we collect it
- To respond to your inquiry and talk about working together
- To understand which marketing actually generates business, which is the entire point of the attribution data
- To improve the site
- To send you information you asked for
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Calls, texts, and messaging consent
If you check the consent box on our contact form, you are agreeing that STRLGHT may contact you by phone call and text message at the number you provided, including through automated messages.
- Consent is not a condition of purchasing anything from us
- Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply
- To stop hearing from us, reply to any message asking us to stop, or email info@strlght.com. We handle these requests manually and will honor them promptly.
If you do not check the box, we will not call or text you for marketing. We may still reply to your inquiry by email.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us operate, and only as much as they need:
- Webflow, which hosts this site and receives and stores our form submissions
- VideoAsk, which collects video responses
- Google Analytics 4, which measures site traffic
- Microsoft Clarity, which records session behavior
- Advertising platforms, where we measure whether campaigns produced results
We may also disclose information when required by law, or as part of a business sale or merger.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand advertising performance. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking them may break parts of the site.
We do not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals, since there is no agreed standard for what that should mean.
7. How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and afterward as needed for legal, tax, or accounting reasons. Inquiries that do not become projects are generally kept for 24 months and then deleted. Client project records are kept longer under our business records practices.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Ask us not to sell or share it, though we do not sell it regardless
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
To make a request, email info@strlght.com. We will respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires, usually 30 to 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
If you are in California, the CCPA and CPRA give you these rights specifically, including the right to know what categories of information we collect and to request deletion.
If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, as well as the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email info@strlght.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be noted more prominently on this page.
