Most small business videos are shot at eleven in the morning because that's when the light is easy. Fine for a bakery. Wrong for a tattoo shop, which is a night place, and shooting one in daylight strips out everything that makes it feel like itself. So we went dark. Night drone work over downtown Madison, hyperlapse to compress the street outside, and a grade that leans into the moodiness instead of correcting it away. The shop's atmosphere is a real part of what people are choosing when they pick it. Night drone is more work than daytime. Less light, tighter margins, less room for error. It's also the only version of this video that tells the truth about the place.
