Year-Long Construction Timelapse | T. Wall Enterprises
A camera on a roof for over a year
Foundry on 3rd took more than a year to build and T. Wall wanted the whole thing. Not a highlight reel, not a few site visits. The entire build, compressed. So we put a camera on a roof in Wausau and left it. Solar powered, LTE connected, pushing frames to the cloud so anybody at T. Wall could pull up the site from anywhere without us driving three hours north. That part matters more than it sounds. On a build this long, half the value is that somebody in the office can just look whenever they want. Winter tried to kill it. Wisconsin cold eats battery faster than a solar panel can put it back, and we lost ground before we got the power situation figured out. Got it stable, kept it rolling, came out the other side with a year of a building going up frame by frame.
Who is
T. Wall Enterprises
T. Wall Enterprises is a Wisconsin property development and management company building and operating multi-family communities around Madison and across the state. Foundry on 3rd is one of their Wausau projects. They tend to have several buildings going up at once.

The whole build, in a minute
T. Wall ended up with a timelapse that compresses a year of construction into something they can put in front of investors, future tenants, and municipalities. And because the camera was streaming the entire time, the footage was useful during the build instead of only after it.
