From a photo to a thing you can hold
Somebody walks in with a picture. Not a sketch, not a spec sheet, a photograph of a thing they want. Turning that into an object is a translation problem before it's ever a metalworking problem, and it's the request Chalmers fields more than any other. So the film follows exactly that. Photo in, ring out, everything in between. What gets interpreted, what gets decided, and where a goldsmith has to make a judgment call the customer will never know about. Shot close and quiet. The genuinely interesting thing is watching a flat reference turn into something with weight and dimension, and that reads better with nobody talking over the top of it.

Chalmers Jewelers
Chalmers Jewelers has been on University Avenue in Middleton since 1992, family started and independently owned. With four full-time goldsmiths and GIA graduate gemologists on site, they take on custom work most retail jewelers would have to send out.
Proof they can read a picture
The film answers the question sitting behind most custom inquiries, which is whether the shop can really build the thing in the photo on somebody's phone. Watching the translation happen is a lot more convincing than promising it on a services page.
