Christmas Commercial | Chalmers Jewelers

Introduction

The last-minute panic, on purpose

Every Christmas jewelry ad is snow, a fireplace, and somebody opening a box very slowly. We went the other direction, because that is not what December actually feels like. December feels like being late. So we built the whole spot around the rush. POV shots rigged on magic arms so the camera moves the way a person moves when they're hustling, cut fast, no room to breathe. Taran stars in it, and having somebody we actually know carry it meant we could push the comedy further than a stranger would have let us. The bracelet still gets its moment. It just arrives at the end of a scramble instead of floating in on a velvet cushion, which honestly makes it land better.

A holiday spot that isn't

Chalmers got a Christmas commercial that stands out precisely because it refuses the format every competitor runs in December, which is the month where standing out is hardest and worth the most. The fast pacing let it work as a broadcast spot and a social cut without recutting.
